Cabinet Care
Here are some helpful tips for keeping your new cabinets looking great for years.
- After installation is complete, wipe the cabinets with a soft clean cloth dampened with water. Dry immediately with another clean soft cloth.
- Regular cleaning requires only wiping with a dampened cloth then drying. Remove oil, grease, or general soil by using a clean cloth dampened with a fresh solution of mild soap and water. Rinse with a clean cloth dampened with water and then dry thoroughly.
- WARNING: Excess moisture is one of the worst enemies of any finish. Sink, Range, Dishwasher, Oven and Baseboard areas are most susceptible to this. Promptly remove water spills and excess moisture from cabinets and tops using a clean soft cloth. Water damage will void cabinet and countertop warranty.
- Avoid using harsh detergents, strong soaps, abrasive cleaners, or self polishing waxes when cleaning. Avoid using ammonia solutions on or near cabinets. These substances could have a deteriorating effect on the finished surface.
- Avoid using a dishcloth to clean or dry cabinets as it may contain remnants of detergent or grease.
- Waxing of the cabinet surface is optional. If you elect to do so, use a high-quality furniture polish that does not contain a cleaner.
As you follow these simple steps, your cabinets will provide years of beauty for your home.
